Matt Damon has said this will be the last Jason Bourne movie. Either that's just code for "show him the money" after a spyriffic $69.3 million opening or the next film will be called David Webb, Bourne's real name.

Certainly there's no way Universal's going to let a franchise that's opened higher than any James Bond film or Mission: Impossible movie just fade into the sunset. Besides, somebody's got to keep Moby busy (his song is always in the end credits) so he doesn't release another album without any samples. That was the equivalent of Eddie Van Halen playing nothing but jazz flute at a concert.

Mercifully, Bourne's dominance covered-up the huge craptacularness that was the idea behind making a live-action movie of Underdog. Disney still suckered $11.6 million out of moronic parents who didn't mind having their children walk over the graves of good memories past, but at least the film should die a quick death. It took 15 years for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to finally get the animated feature treatment. Underdog will be lucky if he gets to go for another walk in the next 30.

Bourne's presence also sucker-punched the wind out of the Simpson's sails. After a huge free-fall, Bart will now be tasked with to write, "I will not drop 66% at the box-office in my second weekend" 100 times on the chalkboard.
